The Dorchester Road Corridor Improvements project will accommodate an increase in traffic volume by improving roadway capacity, efficiency of key intersections, and system continuity throughout the project limits.
PROJECT GOALS
Reduce congestion and increase capacity along Dorchester Road from the Dorchester County line to Michaux Parkway
Provide safe opportunities for bicyclists and pedestrians to travel throughout the project corridor
Reduce congestion and increase capacity at key intersections along the project corridor
Ensure there is minimal impact to Joint Base Charleston Operations
